About Us

What We Do
Being an Owner Operated service, Ultimate Home Services offers you the advantages of a lower overhead operation than a larger business like a Handyman franchise or middleman subcontractor.  This means greater savings to you!  

In most cases the Owner will do the estimate, and the work, or be closely supervising the crews who will be working on your project.  Most of our work is done "in house" while we do have sources for most trades with businesses that we trust. 

In business since 2009, the Owner, Rick, has had a lifetime of experience in the trades and as a General Contractor, having worked in Manhattan for over 25 years.  He brings to bear his vast knowledge and ability to manage each customers expectations so there are no surprises.  His main focus is on delivering a "Wow!" experience, as in "Wow, that was easier than I thought it would be." 
The process goes like this:
  • You call / email us
  • We make an appointment
  • If it's a to do list, like a handyman list, we quote you the service rate per hour over the phone
  • If it's a large job, we come to your house or place of business and propose a lump sum bid for you
  • If you agree, we schedule the work and then on the day promised, we show up and do the job​​
  • The work is done by the Owner or one of his trusted crews who have been with him from the start.  
  • You get a lot of contact and feedback and communication from the Owner throughout the job.
  • You get a free home survey from roof to foundation

​Review of the Month

Due to a recent move, I needed handyman services to be sure my wall hangings ,  mirrors  and curtain rods were installed correctly. I contacted Ultimate Home Services. Rick was available to answer the call and schedule an appointment  to come out and do the work within a week from my call. There was NO  phone tag at all! Rick came on the day scheduled and  my items were installed with perfection and professionalism. Unfortunately I underestimated the amount of time involved to complete the service. What I thought would take 2 hours ended up taking 4 hours. Overall satisfaction with the job from start to finish was an A. My service needs were minimal, however Rick proved that he is very well equipped  with knowledge and experience to manage more than handyman jobs.
